Grant Purpose, Qualifications, Instructions and Application Form

Purpose & Qualifications

The Lib Nightingale Mission Fund Grant has been established by Glenview United Methodist Church, Missions & Service Ministry Committee, to provide financial assistance to individuals who embrace the spirit of our faith by focusing their energies to support, sustain, and enrich the quality of life for those they serve. The mission experience can be of your own choosing as long as it qualifies as a recognized service project, i.e. it serves to meet important needs of the deserving recipient. Some examples include, but are not limited to:  Projects –  food pantries, community garden, nursing home communities, etc.  Mission Trips –  U.M. Volunteers in Mission (VIM),  Habitat for Humanity, Interfaith Council, or similar.  You are welcome, but not required, to choose an already established project or trip; we encourage you to consider your own ideas on how best to make a difference in someone’s life.

Eligibility: Must be an active member or regular attendee and actively involved in the Glenview United Methodist Church.
